The Unallocated Jobs Register

The Unallocated Jobs register provides you with a full list of the Jobs within your system that have not yet been assigned to an Engineer – either because they can be completed by any Engineer within your system, or because it was not clear who should be responsible for them at the time of their (or the associated Job Schedule’s) creation. This register may be particularly useful if (e.g.):

  • you need oversight of how many unallocated Jobs are in your system;
  • you need to assign unallocated Jobs to an Engineer (see Assign an Engineer to a Job or Batch of Jobs);
  • you are able to complete a set of unallocated Jobs, and need to check what Jobs are awaiting completion.

Note that this page will only be available to you if you have ‘Admin’ permissions to Asset Manager: Jobs, as it primarily exists to allow administrators who are not engineers to allocate unassigned Jobs to engineers.

To view your Unallocated Jobs register, open the Asset Manager on its Jobs tab and click on the Unallocated Jobs button at the top of the page. This will open a register of all unallocated Jobs that currently exist within your system. By default, Jobs are listed chronologically by their Due Date, but you can also order them by Asset or Type by clicking on the corresponding column headings.

In addition, by default all unallocated Jobs will be displayed within the register. However, you can use the search options at the top of the screen to narrow the list of Jobs shown.

To view a Job, click on its Summary. The Job’s record will open on its Details tab, which will detail all key information that has been recorded against the Job.

See Assign an Engineer to a Job or Batch of Jobs for guidance on how to assign Jobs to your Engineers.
