Feedback Survey Templates – Overview

Survey templates are a core part of the Customers & Suppliers: Feedback area, and enable you to create and send Feedback Surveys quickly and easily, whilst ensuring that these surveys remain consistent and up-to-date from one use to the next. All Feedback Surveys that you and other users send will be based on the templates that currently exist within your system. It is only possible to send a Feedback Survey using one of these templates. However, Activ allows you to create an unlimited number of Feedback Survey Templates, enabling you to maintain a library of templates that suit all of your Feedback needs. In addition, the Customers & Suppliers: Feedback area comes with a pre-configured template to enable you to begin sending Feedback Surveys from the time that the module is added to your system. This template pre-set is:

  • The Customer Satisfaction template

Note that only users with ‘Admin’ permissions to Customers & Suppliers: Feedback can manage or create your system’s Feedback Survey templates. However, all users with appropriate permissions to the Customers & Suppliers: Feedback area will be able to create and send Feedback Surveys using any of the active templates that are within your system.

Each Feedback Survey template consists of five constituent parts which are broken down within the Template tab’s submenu. These are:

Survey Templates – this menu option provides a full list of the Survey templates that are currently within your system. Use this section to add, rename, delete, or disable templates.

E-mail Message – this menu option allows you to create the default message that will accompany the Survey’s link when it is emailed to your chosen contact(s). Each template has its own email message, allowing you to customise the message to be specific to each template.

Rating Questions – This menu option allows you to create and maintain a list of questions that require a ‘rating’ response: i.e. a question that requires the recipient to select one answer from a range of pre-defined options. Each template comes with its own Rating Questions section, allowing you to customise these to the template or to leave them out of the template if appropriate.

Ratings – This menu option provides you with full control over the response options that accompany your Rating Questions. Ratings can be descriptive (e.g. satisfied/neutral/dissatisfied) or numeric (e.g. 1,2,3,4,5), and there is no upper or lower limit on the number of Ratings you can include. Each template comes with its own Ratings section, allowing you to customise these to the template or to leave them out of the template if appropriate.

Additional Questions – This menu option allows you to create questions that require either Yes/No or free-text (Notes) responses. Each template comes with its own Additional Questions section, allowing you to customise these to the template or to leave them out of the template if appropriate.
