Configure the Incident Log Details Form via the Settings Tab

Some fields in the Incident Log’s Details form have drop-down menus from which you can select the appropriate response.  Many of these fields are configurable: you can modify, add or delete the options available in the drop-down menus to tailor your Activ system to match your organisation’s exact circumstances and ensure that the Incident Log module evolves as the needs of your organisation change.

The configurable fields are:

  • Incident Category
  • Type
  • Sub Type
  • Person Type
  • Incident Site
  • Severity
  • Likely Recurrence
  • Primary Cause
  • Secondary Cause
  • Hazard Type
  • Hazard Source
  • Agency Notified
  • Emergency Services Attending

To configure any drop-down menu, you need to have ‘Admin’ system permissions to the relevant module, in this case Incident Log.  See Settings – Configure Drop-Down Menus for a full explanation of how to configure drop-down menus.

On the Settings tab of Incident Log there is also the option to lock the Incident Code field on the Details form of individual Incident Logs:

  • Lock Incident Code? – select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. If your Activ system was created prior to February 2019 this setting will have been set to ‘No’ by default, meaning that users can manually over-write the automatically generated unique code that the system assigns to any new Incident Log.  If your Activ system was created from February 2019 onwards, this setting will have been set to ‘Yes’ by default.
