The Records Library

The Records Library is a core part of the File Manager and may come with a pre-set folder structure and a set of example files that correspond to your ISO Standard(s). If necessary, you can customise the folder structure to match your company’s needs by creating, moving, or deleting folders within the register. In addition, Activ allows you to manage permissions for the Records Library separately to the rest of the module, enabling you to control access to this Library without affecting access to the rest of the File Manager. This may be particularly useful when you need to provide most of your users with access to the Records Library whilst limiting access to Controlled Documents.

The Records Library is intended for files that provide evidence to demonstrate that an activity or process has been completed, or that required information is recorded and maintained. This includes files such as meeting minutes, audit reports, and communication logs. These files are typically records of single events, and as such they do not usually exist as more than one version. However, Activ automatically tracks file versions and provides an audit trail throughout the File Manager, enabling you to track subsequent versions of your records if necessary.
